Sustainability Committed
PGA Aroeira Lisboa received the Sustainability Committed stamp, reflecting our unwavering dedication to integrating sustainable practices into our operations. This recognition underscores our commitment to efficient resource management, social responsibility, and transparent governance. We strive to minimise our environmental footprint through initiatives such as water and energy conservation, waste reduction, and the promotion of renewable energy sources. By prioritising the well-being of our employees and engaging with our local community, we aim to foster a culture of sustainability that benefits all stakeholders involved.
On course
We are implementing a series of environmentally conscious enhancements. Our irrigation system is being upgraded for greater efficiency, reducing water consumption while maintaining course quality. We are also requalifying the vegetation cover by pruning trees and preserving native species, as well as treating lakes to create nesting habitats for birdlife. The introduction of climate-adaptive, drought-resistant turf will further enhance the course’s resilience, complemented by state-of-the-art pumping technology for optimized water use.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact through several key initiatives. We are progressively eliminating single-use plastic items and are in the process of upgrading our maintenance facilities to align with modern sustainability standards. As part of our efforts to reduce waste, we reuse signage, ensuring a longer lifecycle for these essential items. Additionally, we are planning a significant renewal of our machinery fleet – including the transition to electric equipment, further reducing our carbon footprint.
